Thank you for considering Rowanfield Infant School for your child.
We understand that choosing a school is a very important decision.
Before doing so, we strongly recommend a visit to our school either for a personal tour with Miss Swan or for one of our scheduled open mornings. Either way, you will be warmly welcomed and will be able to see what happens on a day-to-day basis, talk about how you could be involved, and find out how children learn through our exciting and engaging curriculum.
Rowanfield Infant School has a set Published Admission Number. This is the number we are obliged to admit into each year group. This number is agreed with Gloucestershire County Council and is currently 90 pupils each year.
Although the Governing Body has responsibility for deciding on admissions, the Local Authority will co-ordinate all admissions in its area and will communicate all admission decisions to parents.
The Gloucestershire School Admissions website provides thorough details about applying for a school place, ranging from general booklets and guidance, the appeals process and school transport when you don't live within walking distance of the school. It can be accessed by clicking here.
If you wish to apply for a Reception place in 2019, please visit the Gloucestershire County Council admissions page (by clicking here) which will outlines how you apply online.
Application for 'In Year'
As an academy, in-year applications for places at our school must be made directly to school by completing the Gloucestershire in-year application form (available by clicking here) and sending it in to us. We currently have space in our Reception and Year 1 classes. This application form must be countersigned by your child's current head teacher if attending a Gloucestershire school.
