Vice - Chair

Why did I sign up?

It feels so long ago I’m not sure I can remember!

At the time I had 2 children at the school and they were looking for a new parent governor. Whilst my children have now left I have remained a Governor as I wanted to make a difference and support the school, and most importantly the pupils in it.

My father, and Grandfather were both Governors too – though in very different times in education!

Since joining 12 years ago I have seen the school grow into the Gloucestershire Learning Alliance.

Why did I sign up?

They were looking for governors and both my children (currently in year 1 and year 5), encouraged me to put myself forward.

 Parent Governor

Why did I sign up?

I was originally asked to join the governing body after helping out in the infants school, when my eldest daughter was there. I thought it would be a good opportunity to find out a little more of what went on in the school, support my own children and offer a parents perspective on school life.
