Rowanfield Children's Centre

We have a close working partnership with Rowanfield Children's Centre (RCC) and have been working together to prepare the pre-school children for school in September. Please note, the RCC is run separately to the school.

Throughout the year, our staff regularly visit the children in their pre-school setting and share stories to begin to build relationships.

During the spring term, opportunities are planned for the children to visit the school, have weekly stories in the hall and partake in forest school and PE sessions. 

In the summer term, the children are invited across to join our assemblies and transition mornings, including story time and stay and play sessions. 

These activities have proved extremely valuable in helping the children become familiar with the school surroundings and develop positive relationships with the staff.
